Australian Camp Oven Festival
Every 2 years the town of Millmerran (1 hour south west of Toowoomba) becomes a hub for celebrating Australian bush heritage and traditions. Enjoy authentic camp oven cooking, country music, bush poetry, sheep shearing, damper throwing competitions and more! Held over 2 days in early October.

Christmas Wonderland
Enjoy the magic of Christmas when Queens Park Botanic Gardens transforms into a magical light display! This annual tradition raises money for local charities and for a gold coin donation you can enjoy the amazing Christmas lights and entertainment from local bands and dancers. On almost every evening in December.

Highfields Australia Day
Each year Highfields Pioneer Village puts on an impressive array of activities for Australia Day. Come along and check out the demonstrations of sheep shearing, working draft horses, milking cows, bee keeping, Aboriginal dance, blacksmithing and more. Enjoy live music and traditional foods like billy tea and damper.

Country shows
Experience rural QLD at its finest at one of the region’s country shows. These events combine traditional agricultural show competitions of cattle judging, horse riding, woodchopping and more with a carnival atmosphere and amusement rides. Shows in this region include Clifton, Cooyar, Millmerran, Pittsworth, Oakey, Goombungee-Haden, Toowoomba and Crows Nest.

Hampton Festival

Languages and Cultures Festival
Each year the Toowoomba Languages and Cultures Festival (TLC) celebrates the region’s diversity and showcases talents and colour from across the world. A fun day for all the family. Highlights include international food stalls, performances from around the globe, rides, displays and much more.

CRT FarmFest
CRT FarmFest is Queensland’s premier primary industry field event, showcasing over 2,000 farming and agricultural businesses and attracting over 60,000 visitors from across the nation and overseas. Held over three days in Kingsthorpe, 20km west of Toowoomba, come along to see the latest products on offer from big farm machinery, tractors and tillage, to irrigation equipment, pumps, tools and produce.

QLD Outdoor Adventure & Motoring Expo
The three day Queensland Outdoor Adventure & Motoring Expo is the region’s largest outdoor adventure expo. Featuring dozens of exhibiting companies, you will find a massive display of caravans and camper trailers, tourism providers, tools, gadgets and so much more. There’s plenty to see and do at the event, with great entertainment for the whole family and prizes to win.

InStudio Art Trail
The InStudio art trail celebrates its 10th year in 2021, with four weekends of open studios, exhibitions and workshops. This is a fabulous opportunity to visit over 30 artists in their studio or exhibition spaces, to participate in a workshop or just to meet these creative people, view their work, learn their stories and understand their techniques.
Word Fest Toowoomba
