How to get to Toowoomba
Just a 90 minute drive from Brisbane, your perfect country escape is closer than you think! Whether you’re after the buzz of art-filled laneways and rooftop bars, enjoying the clear mountain air in our stunning parks and gardens or relaxing at a rustic rural retreat – getting here is easy by road, coach, air or rail.
By road
Only 90 minutes from Brisbane and 2 hours 10 minutes from the Gold Coast, the road to Toowoomba winds its way up the Warrego Highway to the top of the Great Dividing Range, 700m above sea level.
Alternatively, take your time meandering through beautiful national parks by taking the northern scenic route via the Esk turnoff through the high-country communities of Ravensbourne, Hampton, Highfields.
Located at the crossroads of the Warrego Highway, New England Highway and Gore Highway, the region is well connected no matter which direction you’re coming from.
There are many RV and caravan friendly towns throughout the region and our winding country roads are also perfect for motorcycle adventures.

By bus
Multiple daily bus services operate between Brisbane and Toowoomba, with convenient connections to air, rail and local buses. Providers include: Murrays Coaches, Greyhound Australia and Crisps Coaches.
Bus Queensland runs public transport bus services within Toowoomba.
By air
Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport is your gateway to the Toowoomba Region. Flights are available through Qantas, and Rex Regional Express. Located 20km from the Toowoomba CBD, the airport’s services include affordable parking, airport shuttle to Toowoomba, representation from all major car hire companies and taxi services, as well as a full service, licensed café.

Our position at the top of the Great Dividing Range means we enjoy four distinct seasons. Crisp winter nights are perfect for cuddling up in front of a fire with a glass of wine. Autumn transforms the region into a sea of red and gold with knee-deep piles of leaves waiting to be played in. Clear summer days are accompanied by fields of stunning sunflower crops. And in springtime the region shines, with our rich volcanic soils producing amazing floral colour – showcased at the famous Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers.
